From software to the world stage

More than a singles specialist

Staksrud is best known for the singles consistency that carried him to world No. 1, but his career no longer fits a singles-specialist label. He also reached No. 1 in men’s doubles and won the 2025 World Championships alongside Hayden Patriquin.

His background separates him from the standard tennis-to-pickleball story. Staksrud coached tennis, worked for a software company and earned a master’s degree in Management Information Systems at Florida Gulf Coast University before committing fully to the professional game.
